Participants across New Zealand's energy system have come together to launch the Energy Transition Framework. They are a diverse group — energy suppliers, electricity generators, lines and distribution companies, retailers, appliance providers, service companies, research bodies, and independent consumer and advisory representatives.
The top priorities are clear: delivering secure, affordable, and abundant energy for New Zealand homes and businesses.
Not a sector group. Not an advocacy body.
The Framework is not a sector group, advocacy body or a vested interest. It is an action-orientated group looking at how we may need to collaborate to move at the right pace for the best transition for New Zealand.
Under the Framework, participants come together to work on key priorities for the energy system. These priorities — and the work completed under the Framework — will change over time. The current workstreams are set out on the work programme page, which includes providing more information about the transition on this website.

The Framework has members, Advisory Members and Observers. The list of organisations that are members of the Framework can be seen in the Framework document itself. We will continue to broaden membership over time — if your organisation is interested in being involved please get in touch with the secretariat.
